Pension Calculation- Solution Analyst - USDC

Work you ll do

  • Support Human Capital & Benefits projects for government / public services organizations

  • Identify and validate underlying pension plan data elements required to calculate benefits in compliance with the plan document

  • Interpret pension plan provisions and perform all types of pension plan calculations, including retirement benefit estimates and statements

  • Support consultations on pension plan administration leading practices, including process and operational efficienciesRespond to client inquiries, interact with client, pension plan administrators and actuaries to obtain information and resolve questions

  • Review work prepared by junior associates

Qualifications

  • 6years of relevant industry and consulting experienced

  • Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Project management experience

  • Ability to perform pension plan data analysis and identify trends in large data sets

  • Ability to apply data analysis results to development of solutions and recommendations

  • Strong critical thinking skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and work collaboratively

  • Strong attention to detail, time management and follow through

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint

  • Candidate must be eligible to obtain a US security clearance

  • Candidates will need to be open to travel up to10%

  • Undergraduate degree (BA, BS) required

  • Experience working on multiemployer pension plan data and/or familiarity with multiemployer pension plans

Preferred Experience/Qualifications for this position include the following:

  • Experience working on multiemployer pension plan data and/or familiarity with multiemployer pension plans

  • Interest in obtaining and/or pursuing actuarial credentials such as ASA, EA, or FSA
