As part of OMCS Cloud operations,
we consolidate and simplify IT operations and applications instances across
hosted services in Oracle and maximize the return to Oracle to the customers.
It includes daily management, Upgrades, Performance Tuning, Providing
Stability and High Availability across all the product and Application Stacks.
We partner with engineering to develop and maintain automations. Our team
works with the best of the class next generation oracle products such as
Oracle Database 11g/12c (12.1,12.2, 18c, 19c), Oracle WebLogic Server (10.3.6.12.1.3.
12.2), Oracle Business Intelligence (11b, 12c including OBIA 220.127.116.11 and
11g), Oracle Identity management and Oracle E-Business Applications (12.1.3,
12.2), People Soft 9.2. Hyperion, GRC, SOA etc. The team has excellent
expertise in cutting-edge products and technologies like Engineered systems
(Exadata and Super Cluster).
Principal Oracle ApplicationsAdministrator
- Install/upgrade Oracle
11g/12c database software, Oracle Technology Products (SOA, OBIEE, OBIA,
Hyperion, GRC) and Applications (Ebusiness Suite 12.1.3, 12.2.x) on Linux OS,
Sun OS and Engineered Systems
- Manage Oracle Instance
and Database (memory structures, processes, storage structures, schema).
Administer users and security. Manage backup, recovery and migration of the databases.
Manage table space and perform capacity planning following documented
- Perform performance
tuning and optimization following documented procedures.
database/application patches and other upgrades following documented procedures.
Manage changes to the environment using best practices Change Management
- Support the service by
identifying the cause of customer or system escalations and by independently
resolving all the issues related to the Oracle database, middleware, Oracle
Applications and other products mentioned above. Mentor, train and coach the
junior DBAs in the team in isolating the issue, identifying the probable causes
of the issue and solving the issue.
- Collaborate with
Product Support team, Product Development team, Global Information Technology
team, Infrastructure monitoring team and Storage team to minimize the
occurrence of the issues, proactively identify the issues before the customers
identify them, to enhance the performance of the application and to keep the
database highly available.
- Manage both OLTP and
- Optimize the service
operations using the latest Oracle tools and products.
- 7 to 9 years of strong
Oracle E-Business Suite DBA experience with BS Computer Science or equivalent
qualification from a reputed Institute along with good grades.
- Production support
experience with Oracle 11g/12c database, and expertise with Oracle’s RAC, ASM
and RMAN as a core DBA.
- Good Knowledge on
Incidents/Request and CHANGE MANAGEMENT process
Proficient with Installation, configuration andadministration Oracle E-Business Applications, 11g/12c database in aMulti-tier Architecture
Installation and Patching of database and Applicationservers
Install and configuring RAC environments.
Installation and Patching of WLS
Cloning of Oracle Applications using Rapid Clone.
PCP and Load balancing across the middle tiers
Patching of Oracle Ebusiness Suite (12.1. 12.2)
Upgrade / Migration of E-Business Suite application andOracle Databases
Well versed in AD utilities for Oracle Applications.
Proficient in Oracle on-line/off-line backup andrecovery principles.
Exposure to OEM (Oracle Enterprise Manager).
Installed and used RMAN for taking the backup of Oracle9iDatabases.
Strong Troubleshooting Skills.
- Experience with Oracle
middleware technologies like OAM, OIM, IDM, SOA, Hyperion, BI/ OBIEE, EPM, and
Must be a US Citizen andeligible/ready for additional security clearance
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Work with Oracle's world class technology to develop, implement, and support Oracle's global infrastructure.
As a member of the IT organization, assist with the analyze of existing complex programs and formulate logic for new complex internal systems. Prepare flowcharting, perform coding, and test/debug programs. Develop conversion and system implementation plans. Recommend changes to development, maintenance, and system standards.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. BS or equivalent experience in programming on enterprise or department servers or systems.
