The Childrens System of Care Administrator oversees the development and implementation of community support programs and processes that ensure the needs of children and families are met. Serves as key liaison to State agencies including child welfare, juvenile corrections, juvenile detention systems, and other child-serving agencies, childrens system of Care (CSoC) governance and the wrap around agencies to outline goals and ensure programs developed reflect the goals and values of the CSoC as well as all Federal and State regulations and contractual requirements. Reports to the Chief Clinical Officer.
Collaborates with child welfare, juvenile corrections, juvenile detention systems, and other child-serving agencies, as well as internal teams to ensure coordination of efforts.
Oversees the childrens system service delivery system consistent with the Kansas Principles for Children Service Delivery.
Oversees the design and implementation of the behavioral health delivery programs to ensure the needs of children and their families in the behavioral health system are met.
Ensures collaboration with child welfare agencies and the juvenile justice system.
Coordinates with members of various State agencies to ensure that programs developed reflect the goals and values of the CSoC.
Develops and implements practice adjustments, and policy and procedure revisions.
Provides training and support in an effort to provide continuous improvement in serving children and families.
Coordinates the assimilation of measures with continuous quality improvement efforts at the provider and network levels.
Establishes a positive organization and company image within the Kansas health care community.
Participates in shaping the Kansas behavioral health system of care and resolving issues and challenges identified.
Establishes and maintains on-going relationships with community organizations and contract stakeholders.
Ensures that the behavioral health care needs of members are well served.
Establishes and maintains ongoing relationships with key agencies, providers, physicians, hospitals, advocacy groups and State officials.
5 or more years of experience in public sector; Required
Managed Behavioral and Physical health care experience; Preferred
5 or more years of experience as a Children System Administrator or in a similar role for a managed behavioral health care organization overseeing collaboration with welfare agencies and the justice system; Preferred
3+ years' experience with IDD (Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities) population; Preferred
Knowledge and understanding of the Kansas Medicaid managed care market, regulations, practices and behavioral health system; Strongly Preferred.
Education and Certification Requirements:
A Kansas-licensed Clinical practitioner.
Masters degree in Behavioral Health, Public Health or Registered Nurse Required.
Current, unrestricted licensed commensurate with educational field, such as a LCSW, LMFT, LAC, LPC, PhD, PsyD,
RN; must be licensed in Kansas or be eligible to become licensed in Kansas.
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Master's degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing..
