POSITION SUMMARY

This is a financial associate position which will be part of a team supporting the Aetna Better Health of Kansas Medicaid health plan. This position will be responsible for a wide variety of complex financial activities which include but are not limited to planning, forecasting and budgeting for multiple cost centers, membership reporting, month-end close responsibilities, variance analysis and state reporting.

Fundamental Components:

-Budgeting & planning/forecasting and month end close responsibilities -Support financial information requests from Segment financial management -Serve as a subject matter expert for the unit participating in and leading special/ad hoc report requests as needed -Develop trend reports to analyze volume/spending/membership growth etc. -Communicate results to local and regional management -Participation in Financial Audits -Healthcare/ Medicaid experience a plus -Knowledge of Hyperion Essbase/Oracle a plus

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

2 years finance related experience, healthcare a plus (generally required). 4-year business degree or equivalent work experience desired, preferable in Finance or Accounting.

Additional Requirements:

Comprehensive business knowledge.

PC skills in MS Excel and Access.

Understands relationships of various financial systems (e.g., payroll, OFA, etc.).

Can work independently with business areas to compile information.

EDUCATION

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
