This is a Senior financial associate position which will be part of a team supporting the Aetna Better Health of Kansas Medicaid health plan. It is an advanced finance position performing complex assignments requiring advanced analytical and technical skills. Will serve as Subject Matter Expert for assigned functional areas and lead special projects.
Budgeting and planning and forecasting. Perform month end close responsibilities including preparation of journal entries, A/R aging, account reconciliation and variance analysis. Support financial information requests from Segment financial management. Develop trend reports to analyze volume/spending/membership growth etc. Develop policies and procedures for simple to complex internal and functional processes. Communicate results to local and regional management. Participate in Financial Regulatory Audits. Healthcare/Medicaid experience a plus. Knowledge of Hyperion Essbase/Oracle a plus.
5+ years finance related experience generally required, healthcare finance a plus.4-year degree or equivalent work experience preferred; Finance or Accounting degree a plus. Additional Requirements:Comprehensive business knowledge.Aetna business knowledge (outside department business). PC skills in MS Excel and Access.
Influence people within areas of responsibility.Demonstrates leadership.Work independently with business areas to compile information.Ability to manipulate large amount of data into concise analytical reports.Can complete project tracking tools.
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
