Marsh & McLennan Learning & Development Specialist in Overland Park, Kansas
The Learning and Development Specialist develops, implements, and administers organizational training programs as well as conducts professional development training sessions. This position provides eLearning and training design, development and delivery expertise to support our ongoing talent management efforts.
Meet with department leaders and key stakeholders to identify knowledge and skill gaps and assess and training needs within the organization Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop effective training programs and solutions Develop and deliver instructional design and training for classroom, eLearning, and distance learning environments Current on learning trends in organizational and employee development and incorporate best practices in learning and training programs Write effective copy, instructional text, and audio/video scripts Assess the effectiveness of training programs, recommend and implement program improvements Facilitate and train on various course topics Provide post-training support as needed Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years relevant experience designing and delivering learning and development programs Experience with eLearning authoring tools such as Captivate or Storyline Proven experience in instructional design principles and best practices Strong technical aptitude Proficient in MS Office and Learning Management Systems Ability to communicate clearly to people at all levels, with superior business/technical writing and editing skills Sharp business acumen Effective program/project management skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results even when under pressure Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation and facilitation skills Analytical and problem solving abilities Experience within the insurance industry and/or information technology field a plus Marsh is a global leader in insurance broking and risk management.
