General Summary Description The SBU Client Manager maintains relationships with client decision-maker and their designated point person(s). Also provides coverage analysis, marketing, consulting, on-line rating and other various service activities, including new business and renewal negotiations, as well as identifying potential exposures and needs. Duties /Responsibilities  Checks policies and conducts research on issues relating to policies as needed.  Investigates and answers client inquires regarding coverage of existing policies.  Use of various company rating systems to obtain terms and conditions.  Monitors expirations, billings, certificates, processing, claims and loss control to ensure quality client service.  Completes necessary surplus lines filings  Issues certificate, auto ID, binder, billing invoice, policy change, etc. typical to insurance.  Gathers risk management/insurance information from prospects to use in marketing efforts.  Presents submissions to carriers and follows-up with carriers per established company guidelines.  Negotiates coverage and service that matches client needs.  Leads in client presentations where appropriate.  Conducts policy reviews and delivers policies to clients.  Maintains professional development through training sessions and continuing education programs.  Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent with 5 years insurance experience required. Associate’s Degree with 5 plus years experience preferred. Additional Requirements Licenses/Certification:  Property & Casualty License required  Special Requirements/ Skills: Strong technical knowledge of commercial insurance coverage Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook Experience with Sagitta and ImageRight a plus Ability to use other general office equipment Excellent customer service and phone etiquette Ability to work well in a team environment Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong time management and organizational skills Strong presentation skills Exceptional attention to detail Ability to read and interpret complex documents such as insurance policy, applications and proposals  R076839-en R076839
