Job Summary

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Operations Officer to join our Easing Sydney’s Congestion Program on a 2 year fixed term contract. The Business Operations Officer will be responsible for the daily operations of the Program to support the Program’s goals and objectives. Some of your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Maintaining and managing the ongoing operational practices for optimal business success.

  • Creating, leading and monitoring the development and implementation of strategies to achieve operational excellence for the Program.

  • Defining and reviewing current operations practices to highlight gaps and to ensure alignment to Roads and Maritime, TfNSW and Government goals.

  • Liaise with strategic, operational and functional areas to exchange information and facilitate cohesion on all operational matters.

  • Lead Executive level reporting for Easing Sydney Congestion Program Office (ESCPO).

Minimum Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and minimum 5 years’ experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop operational improvement strategies within a complex organisation.

  • Demonstrated experience in undertaking research and reporting.

  • Demonstrated experience in HR matters.

  • Ability to manage day-to-day operations as well as support multiple and varied projects.

  • Highly developed communication, analytical and problem solving skills with a proven ability to conceptualise, formulate and deliver appropriate solutions in an innovative and resourceful manner.

  • Strong ability to effectively manage stakeholders and conflicting deadlines.

  • Ability to exercise sound judgement, political sensitivity and strict confidentiality.
