On-Site Production Technician
Onsite Production Technician I
Hours: 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Pay = $16.00 per hour
Responsible for the daily operation of the customer-site asset handling processes, including inventory management, data erasure, packaging for returns/redeployment/disposal, and scheduling transportation services as needed.
On-Site receiving functions for new equipment orders
Point of contact for Pickup Status
Acts as liaison between on-site team and Supplier processing and logistics team(s)
Reports on available inventory levels
Performs imaging reclaimed (redeploy-able) assets (if applicable)
System builds (software, applications, etc.)
Asset tagging (if applicable)
Coordination with customer contacts as needed to manage asset and peripheral returns
(Lease) Return management and reporting/tracking
Logistics coordination, consulting and compliance
Job creation, reporting and workflow management
Inventory management – new, redeploy-able, disposal Equipment
Data Center Inventory using Customer provided tools and training
Hardware separation by disposition (Redeploy/Disposal)
On-Site data erasure
Disposal scheduling and reporting
Maintains the Customer-site facility in a neat, clean, organized and orderly fashion (as it relates to the S-Tech scope of services workspace)
Prepares Equipment for pickup/shipping
Passes escalations to the Program Supervisor as needed
Maintains transaction logs/shipping manifests for returns from their site(s)
Meets regularly with the Program Supervisor and Business Development Manager to review return activities and status of inventory
Any other reasonable activities within the scope of the resources’ technical abilities that is agreed upon by both Customer and Supplier
Professional appearance and behavior, including punctuality
Be results oriented, and have excellent attention to detail
Ability to interface with technical and non-technical staff
Strong communication skills: written, verbal, comprehension
Ability to understand and carry out instructions in various forms (written, oral or diagram)
Strong problem-solving skills and adaptable to change in process or required activities
Ability to identify IT devices including, PC’s, laptops, HDD’s, printers, networking, monitors
Ability to work independently and perform other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Previous ITAD experience and familiarity with asset management / value recovery programs.
Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or production environment
Previous experience packaging and transporting IT Assets and devices
