Hasbro Specialist, Package Quality & Compliance in Pawtucket, Rhode Island

We are currently seeking a Specialist, Package Quality & Regional Compliance to work in our Hasbro office in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

The Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all labelling requirements dictated by Quality Assurance will be applied to the product, packaging and instructions of all items intended for the US market. This position works closely with other functions such as Graphic Project Management, Legal, Studio Designers, Marketing, Brand Writing, Engineering and Quality Assurance to deliver approved assets within set timelines.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Through the Creative Reviews, advises on potential labelling issues of all items and potential constraints for the development of the variants.

  • Identifies labelling requirements needing to appear on product, packaging and instructions and communicates to the brand writers/designers/engineers.

  • Reviews, gives directions and approves all packaging and instructions for labelling compliance to Corporate and regulatory standards for the US market as it relates to toy safety, labelling, new technology used in toys, food legislation and textile regulations.

  • Partners with various functional areas such as Graphic Project Management, Brand Writing, Legal, QA and Engineering, to obtain critical product information and shares information when there are changes affecting a particular product.

  • Approves first engineering pilot samples and manages packaging/instruction corrective actions as required for the US market.

  • Leads/participates in solutions to remediate to process inefficiencies.

  • Knowledge of applicable regulatory laws and toys regulations an asset.

  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar position or in a position with equal responsibilities.

  • University degree in Engineering an asset but not a requirement.
