Position: Logistics Engineer I
At present we have an opening for a Logistics Engineer to join our Converge Team in Peabody, MA . The Logistics Engineer will be responsible for the support of the Engineering and Development of HDD Lab at Converge Peabody.
Responsible for the design and build of equipment and managing the implementation of improvement solutions for the production floor in the areas of personnel and equipment utilization.
Design and build equipment for specific business units or customers to use. Develop process, procedures and testing for business units and customers; generally for distribution and production centers. Create, maintain and provide documentation.
Provide support for business units; new product introduction, provide technical training support – develop, update and maintain instructional documents and process instructions to assist in production within the unit, parts ordering, facility layout.
Manage implementation of improvement solutions or new product introductions; identify areas to improve equipment, process or personnel utilization on the production floor. Monitor implemented solutions and present findings to appropriate management groups as needed. Update manufacturing instructions.
Resolve manufacturing issues, address production, design, construct and debug operations and determine efficiency; respond to floor issues as circumstances dictate or calculate labor to production floor.
Provide support to new equipment or processes development purposes.

(2) Incumbent has high level of discretion to vary from established procedures, works under broad supervision, and solves some complex problems. Incumbent generally has substantial work experience involving complex concepts and procedures in theories/concepts in own function.
Experience / Education
Typically requires a 4 year degree and 2–4 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
