*Job Summary: *Demonstrates a sound knowledge and proficiency in the use of MRI equipment while observing MRI safety guidelines. Responsible for operating a variety of MRI equipment in a digital/PACS environment. Responsible for confirming correct patient/correct exam/correct order/correct patient demographics, prior to scan. Responsible for entering, editing, and completing exams in Meditech. Must obtain quality image including both technical and positional factors and assure all special exam instructions are completed appropriately. Responsible for verifying exam transmission to PACS via to Centricity) Adapts to schedule changes including routine departmental coverage, call shifts and call back for procedures/holidays. Maintains a high standard of medical ethics at all times and is self-motivated to increase level of understanding and knowledge of the field of MRI and new procedures as they evolve while educating/assisting new employees and students. Maintains individual credentialing and education requirements. Performs other duties as assigned. Follows policies and procedures of West Florida Hospital. Participates in the Quality Improvement process and adheres to WFH standards of behavior.

Essential Functions: Manages stress appropriately and can make decisions under pressure, manage anger/fear/hostility/violence of others appropriately, handle multiple priorities and able to work alone. Medium work with periods of standing, lifting, stooping, bending, pulling with force, reaching above head and shoulders, twisting at waist. Must be able to distinguish colors, hear alarms/telephone/tape recorder in normal speaking voice. Good manual dexterity and clarity of vision. Occasionally may push/pull/lift or carry up to 50 lbs. Occasionally may lift 50 lbs from floor and waist level up. Attendance is essential to this role.

Education: Graduation from ARRT Accredited Program and current ARRT are required; Florida Certification is required.

Experience: A minimum of one (1) to two (2) years MRI/CT experience preferred. Advanced MRI Registry preferred.

Skills/Abilities:Organizational,critical thinking,communication, and multi-taskingskills in a detail-oriented, customer-focused organization are required.Mathematical, analytical, reading and comprehension skills are required. Basic computer skills are required.Ability to follow verbal instructions is required.
