Job Summary

AECOM is seeking the experience of a highly proficient and driven Transmission Line Design Engineer to lead and execute the technical requirements of overhead line design from our Perth Office together with Junior Engineers and other support functions. You will work the Transmission Lines and Cables Lead Engineer. As part of this senior role, you will interface and develop a strong and collaborative working relationship with our key clients, assisting in the future growth of our Power and Energy business in Western Australia.

As a key component of this role, you will contribute to the Engineering and Design Panel with Western Power. You will be involved with providing input in the preparation of proposals and will lead and carry out quality design work together with Senior and Junior Engineers.

Working as part of a global organisation, you will collaborate with specialists across the region, with both local and international exposure.

Minimum Requirements

  • In depth knowledge of Transmission Line design up to 330kV and higher voltage levels.

  • Experience working with Power Utilities.

  • Demonstrated experience working for Western Power on transmission projects will be highly advantageous.

  • Good understanding of the SWIS (Western Power network) Line design requirements and standards will be preferred.

  • Knowledge on leading edge technology on Transmission Lines.

  • Experienced in PLSCADD and CYMCAP is essential.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 13 years’ experience in Line Design.

  • An Appropriate Bachelor Degree in Engineering.

  • CP Eng is preferred.
