If you’re a QMI Engineer with experience in LNG and utilities QMI, then this role is a chance to develop your technical expertise whilst working for an industry leader.
What’s the role?
The QMI Engineer is responsible for the provision of QMI Engineering services to the organisation. You will be a part of the Instrument and Control Engineering Team and has technical responsibility for overseeing Prelude FLNG custody transfer and quality measurement instruments, as well as brown field projects across various design and engineering stages.
Primarily based in Perth office, occasional travel to sites may be required.
Some of the key deliverables and responsibilities of this role are:
Maintain and improve the QMI and metering management system.
Provide routine assurance that maintenance of quality measurement instruments and metering systems is being adequately conducted to satisfy legislative, commercial and operational requirements.
Review and improve preventive maintenance activities and ensure spare parts, special tools and equipment availability.
Execution of performance monitoring programs using AMADAS, Control Charts or other tools.
Perform routine identification of bad actors, cost reduction and defect elimination opportunities.
Assist in development and implementation of programs to eliminate bad actors and improve quality measurement instruments and metering systems performance with the goal to minimize deviations and optimize availability.
Assist Senior QMI Engineer in development of brownfield projects to address reliability and obsolescence issues.
Assist Senior QMI Engineer in maintaining compliance with the Operations Management Systems and statutory requirements.
Conduct troubleshooting and investigation of failures utilizing root cause analysis.
Develop improvements to quality measurement instruments and metering systems and associated with them processes.
Assist in resolution of mismeasurements in conjunction with Senior QMI Engineer, HCA Engineer and Product Lifting Co-Ordinator.
Assist in the development of Turn-Around scopes for Metering and QMI Systems.
Ensure that Metering and QMI documentation, calculation and data are kept up-to-date.

What we need from you
Tertiary qualifications in an Engineering discipline.
Demonstrated experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
Knowledgeable of the standards and practices relevant to lab measurement, online quality measurement instruments and metering systems.
Demonstrated capability to quickly & accurately identify, engineer and execute engineering solutions and own the processes through the engineering / MoC (Management of Change) lifecycle with a hands-on approach.
Crucial to the success of this role is the ability to work collaboratively and lead effectively across multi-functional teams and interface with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, based in various locations, and being able to work autonomously.
