Position Title Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a new Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team in Peterborough.
Working with the facility maintenance department, the Mechanical Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on various facility maintenance systems and building equipment. Attend to reactive calls on associated plant and equipment across the Clients site and lending support to installation works and projects as and when required.
Assists in performing and responding to work orders associated with building equipment
Inspects major equipment and/or operating systems and takes corrective actions as necessary.
Ensures all appropriate mechanical operations, standards, controls, and specifications, are maintained at a high level of quality. Systems/Equipment to include: pumps, fans, cranes, heat exchangers, valves, etc
Responsible for undertaking planned preventative and reactive maintenance work services throughout designated buildings, ensuring adherence to operational, regulatory and contractual compliance.
Motivated and enthusiastic approach for working in accordance with all tasks and reactive works requests generated by electronic data management systems and using PDA technology for works order data transfer.
“Can do” attitude and approach to working with specialist sub-contractors to maintain high quality and bench marking achievement as standard to ensure Business and Customer satisfaction.
Works within the context of a team and at times with minimal supervision
Requires experience in plumbing, air systems, hot water systems, drainage and knowledge in electrical.
Ensures excellent customer service and safe work environment
Other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor
Work in a safe manner in accordance with HASAW, company and statutory guidelines.
Meet statutory, client and AECOM company standards and procedures.
Ensure all PPE/ Workwear is used/worn at all times in accordance with Health & Safety regulations.
You will preferably have served a fully indentured Craft Apprenticeship C&G2360 /1&2 with significant years post experience.
BMS and Control wiring installations experience is desirable as well as having undertaken Safe Systems Skilled Persons duties including HV/LV systems.
Commercial gas qualifications (COCN1 or CODCN1) would be advantageous as would CITB Refrigerant handling and brazing certificate.
