The AI Learning and certification team is building programs through which we will share IBM’s wealth of resources on these fields with organizations and academic institutions around the world, and we are looking for professionals with expertise in putting Machine Learning and AI to work, and with a passion for skills development. The AI Skills Curriculum Lead will be responsible for driving the vision and strategy to build learning and certification offerings focused on AI (i.e: Natural Language Processing, Speech Recognition, Visual Recognition, Automation, Deep Learning, etc.) while working with other IBM partners such as OM, IBM Research, Community, Marketing, and Services. You will need to have a deep understanding of AI foundation, deep understanding of Data Science and Machine Learning foundation, knowledge of our specific data science, and AI technology offerings such as Watson Studio, Watson Machine Learning, Watson APIs, and AI Open Scale, and a hands-on understanding and expertise of how this can bring value to our clients. You will drive the creation of learning assets that will be used to showcase our technology leadership and used by our clients to learn how to turn their technology investments in IBM into business impact. They also need to have skills on curriculum creation, and analytical capabilities to understand high-reaching offerings to inform our own strategy. These offerings will be used as levers to grow product and revenue services

This job ideally would be based on out of San Francisco, CA, New York, or Raleigh/Durham (RTP) NC. W e will consider well qualified applicants for remote work with travel 25%


  • Drives vision for AI curriculum including standard methodologies AI implementation using python and IBM technologies

  • Maintains up to date research on competitor AI related certification offerings

  • Develops curriculums, plans, timelines, and success

  • Explores opportunities for partnerships and collaboration with AI curriculum Providers to demonstrate third party expertise and accelerate execution

  • Works closely with other Curriculum Leads in the AI Learning and Certification team, as well as with the AI Learning Catalog Lead, and the Ecosystem Data Science and AI Learning Programs Lead for teamwork and alignment in offerings

Required Professional and Technical Expertise

  • Successful experience implementing machine learning solutions using python

  • Extraordinary written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Meaningful work experience in education related field, training, program/project management in Data Science, Machine Learning, and AI

  • Curriculum development expertise

  • A consistent track record of driving project timelines to meet program objectives

  • A customer-focused approach

  • Real passion for working reciprocally across IBM and IBM’s ecosystem to build successful programs.

Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise

  • Successful experience implementing machine learning solutions using python and IBM technologies

  • Master of Science in Analytics/Data Science or PhD or equivalent for development of data science, machine learning, and AI skills
