Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a BIM/REVIT manager / engineer/architect to be the BIM manager for the Architectural and Engineering Department in the Philadelphia office. As such this individual will be working as part of the Transportation department and will also be assisting other departments within the office and region.

This position will provide an opportunity to work within a specialized group of professionals, in the assessment and development of conceptual, preliminary and detailed designs for major transportation projects, and related facilities projects.

As a team member, you will be expected to bring several years of related experience in either engineering or architecture and have significant experience with BIM and Revit. As the BIM manager, the successful candidate will coordinate with the Regional BIM leadership and department BIM coordinators/leaders and assure that projects are completed in accordance with the established standards. The A&E Department BIM manager will take an active part in training personnel in BIM procedures and monitor projects to assure that our standards are followed. In addition, your role will involve ensuring accuracy of design and contract documents.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Able to effectively work with other team members and communicate BIM/Revit goals on projects.

  • Support the in-house architectural and engineering design discipline teams with day-to-day and long-term duties, tasks, and BIM/REVIT training

  • Communicate with design team from various design disciplines for consistent BIM execution for coordinated project delivery.

  • Collaborate efforts of multi-discipline teams across various offices in multiple cities.

  • Assist in development of BIM implementation and execution plans, marketing materials, and project qualifications statements as may be required.

  • Develop and deliver customized training to various design disciplines.

  • Work with limited supervision, and manage multiple tasks with varying deadlines.

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree in Architecture or Engineering

  • 10+ years of experience in BIM and REVIT design

  • Licensed as a professional engineer or architect and capable of obtaining reciprocity in other states as required

  • Familiarity with codes and standards for buildings and facilities.

  • Understanding of the practice of architecture, engineering and construction

  • Solid understanding of BIM standards (national and international), guidelines and protocols

  • Proficiency with Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs, specifically Access, Excel, Project, and Word

  • Proficiency with C4R, BIM 360 Glue

  • Proficient planning, organization and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience supervising personnel

  • Experience in a multi-discipline design or construction environment with small-to-large project delivery

  • Knowledge of Dynamo visual scripting tool

  • Experience with ReCap 360 and point-cloud based modeling preferred

  • Knowledge of contractual delivery methods
