Job Summary:

Come join our team building the next generation sports data platform within Comcast. We're hiring a full-stack javascript developer with experience building cloud-native applications. Our engineering team loves solving complex problems targeting inflexible deadlines.

Our work has a direct impact on customers and you'll be able to see what you built on the X1 entertainment platform and highly used mobile applications. We are a data source for the X1 Sports App and the X1 Sports Voice answers cards. Moving into 2019, the data platform you'll help build will be the primary source for statistical and real-time sports data across many Comcast properties.

Needs
  • javascript/nodejs mastery
  • version control mastery (git)
  • working with/in a container orchestration platform
  • experience working in/with a ci/cd pipeline
  • messaging patterns/systems (rmq, kafka, NATS, etc)
  • microservice architecture patterns
  • data integration patterns
  • mongodb or other document data store experience
  • general devops experience
  • adaptive (not a stickler for "process")
  • spaces, not tabs
Wants
  • graphql experience (consuming or producing)
  • knowledge of patterns for building apis
  • familiarity with (light) functional programing patterns
  • experience with graph databases ( neo4j , neptune)
  • graph data modeling a huge plus
  • java experience is a plus but not a must
  • AWS experience
  • kubernetes experience
Travel
  • negligible, but some travel to the west coast and conferences is possible
Heads up
  • you may need to available outside of general business hours for triage and support. sports tend to happen on evenings and weekends :)
