How will you make an impact?

Travel to provide support at multiple customer facilities during scheduled and unscheduled PTO, other leaves of absence, site training and open positions; in some cases for extended periods of time

What will you do?

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Post Coverage analysis including recommendations to improve operational efficiency and corresponding Corrective Actions.

  • Assist in updating SOP’s and Work Instructions

  • Support new site implementations as required

  • Subject Matter Expert in Best Practices for the portfolio of services such as Order Management, Inventory Management, Glass Wash, Chemical Management, Consignment and Customer Owned Inventory Programs

  • Maintain all necessary certifications to support all site operations, i.e., IATA and DOT certifications

  • Handle all site operations and duties for optimal outcomes to maintain highest standards of excellence

  • Operate across a wide variety of services including training and assessment responsibilities with a high level of success.

  • High light RED Flags affecting site operations for corrective action

Training support

  • Cover for new employees attending systems training

  • Provide site specific training on site operations including proprietary customer systems

Order Management

  • Perform order entry, order expediting, customer service call resolution, return good authorization, quote requests

  • Facilitate vendor and customer interaction

  • Assist with product searches via www.fishersci.com

Inventory Management

  • Stockroom/POU management, dispensing of products, maintain stockroom inventory at optimal levels

  • Run inventory reports, adjust Min/Max levels as needed

  • Use Scanner to Perform replenishments-Process disbursements

  • Perform stockroom duties to include receiving stock, put away, stock rotation, cycle counts, and other functions according to customer requirements.

Shipping and Receiving

  • Process outbound shipments including packing of samples

  • Filling out proper documentation for DOT regulation

  • Receiving, unloading and processing of incoming packages

  • Deliver inbound freight or packages to various locations throughout site

  • Work with end-user to coordinate shipments and deliveries

Chemical Management

  • Assisting in registration of chemicals into a chemical database

  • Delivery of chemical packages within a laboratory environment

  • Sustaining and maintaining of chemical stockroom inventory

Glasswash

  • Daily pickup of utilized glassware from labs, wash, sterilize, and redistribute to satellite storage areas

  • Maintain good house keeping

  • Interact daily with scientific staff

  • Work in a GMP glassware environment as needed

  • Adhere to all customer cGMP SOP’s as required

How will you get here?

Education

  • High School Diploma required; BA/BS preferred

Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with inventory and customer service

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • IATA and DOT certifications preferred, but not required.

  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively and work in a wide variety of environments

  • Ability to establish and foster positive customer relationships

  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills

  • Proactive approach to problem solving

  • Adapt to flexible and changing schedule in short notice

  • Ability to self-manage and operate independently.

  • Display high level of confidentiality

  • Demonstrate sense of urgency

  • Demonstrate a high level of accountability for site coverage duties.

  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite

  • Strong time management and organizational skills

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to wear a respirator

  • Possess valid driver’s license and good driving record

  • Ability to work beyond the normal business hours
