IBM Service Line Rep - Network Services (Great Lakes & US South territory) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Your Role and Responsibilities

The Service Line Representative (SLR) for Network Services is responsible for developing integrated networking solutions that address client business needs (both IT and line of business) and deliver client value while supporting IBM GTS (Global Technology Services) business strategies. The individual is responsible for delivering the sales quota and business results for the GTS Networking Services Line for the assigned territory.

Successful candidates will be responsible for all aspects of selling IBM Networking Services products - including pipeline management, opportunity identification, analyzing requirements of clients, selecting appropriate IBM solutions, leading PoCs, demonstrations, client workshops and presentations, preparing quotes/pricing/contracts, driving other proposal development activities, and working with Industrial Market Sellers / Service Client Representatives (SCR) & pre-sales colleagues.

Additional responsibilities will include: collaborating and educating clients and other IBM teammates on leading edge networking services solutions, communicating and acting as a liason between our customers, technical sales/architects, extended solution team partners, and delivery teams during the end-to-end engagement and sales processes, and adhering to all business practice guidelines and utilizing the various internal processes to ensure IBM compliance standards are met. These compliance standards include pricing within delegation and business rules, validation of Statements of Work, contract registration, sales forecasting in IBM CRM tool, weekly cadence participation, resource management requests, and other items required to ensure a successful sales effort and successful project delivery.

There will be up to 50% national travel possible in this role, particularly in the Great Lakes (Michigan & Ohio) as well as the U.S. South (primarily Georgia & Florida) territories.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • B.S. degree.

  • At least 3 years experience in IT Services Solution Selling, or Consulting to IT executives in the Networking Services discipline; e.g.: CTOs, CIOs, VPs of Infrastructure, and Network Managers / Directors.

  • At least 3 years of expertise in selling Managed Services to large corporate accounts.

  • At least 3 years of professional background in financial-based selling techniques (Business Case / TCO /ROI,etc).

  • Proven track record of sales performance success

  • Readiness to travel up to 50% annually.particularly with-in assigned Great Lakes and U.S. South territories.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • At least 5 years experience in IT Services Solution Selling or Consulting to IT executives in the Networking Services discipline; e.g.: CTOs, CIOs, VPs of Infrastructure, and Network Managers / Directors.

  • At least 5 years of expertise in selling to large industrial (automotive, aerospace, chemical / petroleum, industrial products, electronics) sector accounts.

  • At least 5 years of professional background in Technical Solution Development.

  • At least 5 years of experience in leveraging Partners / Solution Providers in team-based selling environments.

  • At least 5 years of expertise in financial-based selling techniques (Business Case / TCO / ROI,etc).
