Summary:

\r\n\r\n

To manage the planning, design, testing and implementation of complex projects from inception to conclusion. The Project Analyst implements organizational projects and new business implementations by defining, executing and validating requirements based on State, Federal and contractual regulations. This individual must utilize independent judgment to anticipate consequences of actions, potential problems, and/or opportunities for change through change management.

\r\n\r\n

This role is responsible for identifying and analyzing financial, contractual and operational impact to a project’s scope through execution of risk management. The Project Analyst will use knowledge of pharmacy benefit management to be pro-active in developing and implementing strategies that significantly mitigate risk to the organization and client.

\r\n\r\n

The incumbent shall possess a strong understanding of project management phases, techniques and tools:

  • Execute & Control: scope, work plans, resources, deliverables, Q/A, transition planning, etc.

Responsibilities:

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\t

  • Leads planning, testing and implementation of projects.

\r\n\t

  • Facilitates the definition of service levels and customer requirements. Interact regularly with existing or potential clients to determine their needs and to develop plans for improving delivery and contractual requirements.

\r\n\t

  • Develops and maintains a comprehensive project plan utilizing PMI methodology for Part D, Commercial, Medicare, Workers Compensation and Medicaid New Business Implementations and other projects based upon contractual and State, Federal regulations.

\r\n\t

  • Ensures that project status, issues and successes are communicated to project team, stakeholders, sponsors, steering committee and all levels of management and documented appropriately.

\r\n\t

  • Creates work standards and documentations for a project; establishes and defines roles and responsibilities, specific outcomes, and clear measures for quality and success of the team. Follows through with fair and consistent consequences for both achieving and not achieving results.

\r\n\t

  • Controls and implements a process of change in requirements when needed, document ant track issues, monitor assumptions and make decisions in a timely manner, understand and use problem solving techniques.

\r\n\t

  • Identifies opportunities for business process improvements within project scope.

\r\n\t

  • Performs risk management to strategize and execute mitigation plans to minimize project failure and financial and compliance impact.

\r\n\t

  • Oversees and ensures timely resolution of customer issues during the implementation and stabilization of the project; escalates to Manager as necessary

\r\n\t

  • Advocates on behalf of clients and represent clients' needs as appropriate to senior management. Work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes. Participate in the design and/or testing phases.

\r\n\t

  • Presents oral and written reports defining plans, problems, and resolutions to appropriate levels of management, customers and/or functional business owners.

\r\n\t

  • Creates within the project team a shared focus on the importance of achieving results.

\r\n\t

  • Collaborates with internal customers to deliver agreed upon requirements, through the timely and accurate documentation and effective management of partners to meet key deliverables

\r\n\t

  • Prioritizes customer requests as appropriate

\r\n\t

  • Submits recommendations to the Senior Implementation Analyst and/or Manager of New Business and Special Projects PerformRx process improvement plans when necessary

\r\n\t

  • Supports the Manager of New Business and Special Projects with day to day responsibilities

\r\n\t

  • Understand IPNS (claims processing system) from a high-level

\r\n\t

  • Travel as needed

\r\n

Education/Experience:

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\t

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience

\r\n\t

  • CPhT Certification preferred

\r\n\t

  • PMP Certification preferred

\r\n\t

  • Minimum 1 year experience with PBM, Medicare, Medicaid, and/or compliance

\r\n\t

  • Progressive and focused work experience in continuous improvement initiatives, project management, and/or organizational development
