The community advocate and resource liaison works with families, members, providers and the larger community to monitor and assist in the delivery of recovery oriented services and delivery of peer and family support. Through partnerships with the community, stakeholders and providers this position supports the inclusion of peer and family voice and completion of activities targeted toward reducing stigma associated with behavioral health. The position provides member and family advocacy assistance as needed to ensure service delivery and recommends changes to address system trends. This position also serves as the Veterans advocate.


  • 1-3 years experience in community behavioral health

  • Knowledge of key concepts of recovery, peer and family support

  • Strong communication skills, problem and conflict resolution skills

  • Ability to work independently and create relationships in the community


The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent experience.


Functional - Customer Service/FE Complaints, grievances & appeals/1-3 Years

Functional - Communications/Member communications/1-3 Years


Technical - Desktop Tools/Microsoft Exchange/1-3 Years/End User
