Manager, Performance Management Analytics & Leadership Research

The Leader Development & Performance team is responsible for driving performance and developing leaders at all levels across Deloitte. Through leadership learning programs, Team Leader and Coach Effectiveness initiatives, performance management processes and innovative talent analytics strategies, the team delivers solutions to individuals, leaders and teams to enable Deloitte professionals to bring their best to the work to deliver to our clients each day. The Manager, Performance Management Analytics & Leadership Research, will work across the LD&P program portfolio, with a primary focus on Deloitte s performance management process, Reinvented Performance Management (RPM) and associated talent management tools.

The RPM design is built on a foundation of reliable data collected frequently throughout the year on the performance and engagement of individuals and teams. This data requires infrastructure to manage operational reporting and compliance management of the process, and also yields organizational insights about what drives performance, what drives engagement, and how the two relate to one another. Said differently, beyond just running the Performance Management process, we are continuously working to understand more about what great team leaders do, what drives success on our best teams, and how to create more of the behaviors that fuel performance.

As stewards of the firm-wide RPM design, we will continuously ensure it is working as designed; that the technology is providing the most engaging experience for our people; that we are analyzing the reliable data generated by the system in order to derive insights about the performance of our firm and the effectiveness of its leaders; that we are continuing to improve and optimize the process and its supporting tools; that we are providing a central point of contact, repository of expertise, and consulting to each of the businesses; and that we are gaining eminence outside the firm for our PM innovations.

Much of this work will be fueled by 2 things: 1) our ability to infuse a new set of skills in our people to enable them to optimize their roles in this design 2) our ability to deliver new insights to the business based on the data we collect and analyze from this process.

This role will develop and deliver offerings to enable the consumption of PM data insights and ongoing penetration and optimization of RPM across Deloitte s businesses and teams. Additionally, the Manager will initiate and lead experimentation and research studiesunderpinned by reliable data generation, to test and refine Deloitte s approach to leader development and the RPM design through pilots across our businesses.

Key Responsibilities :

  • As an expert in the firm s Reinvented Performance Management (RPM) design, serve as a steward of the strategy across firm processes and content.

  • Manage performance analytics to uncover organizational performance trends and process insights; Oversee on-demand statistical analyses of PM usage and impact data to derive insights about the performance of our firm and the effectiveness of its leaders

  • Partner with Talent Reporting & Analytics teams to integrate new performance data into the firm s talent analytics and reporting infrastructure

  • Develop and manage ongoing measures of RPM design effectiveness and penetration, in partnership with LD&P team members, CTS PM and Talent Reporting & Analytics

  • Lead ongoing PM experimentation to continuously improve the RPM design, by implementing research study methodologies, providing expertise in question design and oversight of data analysis of test results

  • Bolster leader performance, team engagement & intelligence, and penetration of the RPM design by delivering on a new set of consultative offerings to:

  • Enable Talent professionals to consume and deliver new PM data insights to their clients in the business

  • Support the pull by select accounts, teams, and practices for additional ways to fuel individual and team performance and engagement, including strengths

  • Work across Leader Development and Performance to drive the development and integration of Deloitte s performance and engagement analytics story; Define strategies to incorporate this story into how our people understand their roles in the management of performance and leadership of teams at Deloitte via both formal and informal learning

  • Conduct research to inform Deloitte s approach to Leader Development

  • Provide advisory support to CTS PM team members in the design and delivery of PM Change Management, Communications & Training materials as needed
