Medicare Part D Product & Strategy Planner

Highly visible hands-on position supporting Aetna, Coventry and joint venture Medicare MAPD and standalone PDP plans with subject-matter-expertise of pharmacy (Part D) benefits and administration. Support annual service-area-expansions and work closely with the existing Part D Product team on a daily basis by providing backup support on numerous topics, such as: bid filing reviews, member material reviews, broker tool testing, Medicare Plan Finder testing, competitive intelligence gathering and other needs as they arise.

Fundamental Components:

Primary responsibility of this position is to support Medicare Advantage service-area-expansions (SAEs) for the Part D benefit component. The SAE filing project requires strong organization skills, technically proficient (Excel/vendor software), direct communication style, strong time management skills and ability to troubleshoot issues related to filing requirements. Incumbent will work across all Medicare functional departments to manage the collection, refinement and upload of narratives and data to vendor software in support of a successful filing. Incumbent must be able to influence various SMEs across the organization to create/deliver necessary information and data in an acceptable format/timeframe for filing purposes. Incumbent will also serve as backup to other Part D Product team members during absences, vacations, offsites, etc.


It is expected that incumbent will have strong Medicare experience in one or more functional areas, with at least some Part D knowledge and experience. Strong technical skills are a must, as is a direct communications style, disciplined project management skills and proficient business experience to assure that issues are resolved timely and effectively. Minimum at least 3+ years experience in Project Management, Part D, PBM, Pharmacy, Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Product Development, Systems Analysis, BRD writing and User-Acceptance Testing.


The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
