What You’ll Do:
You will be a go-to thought leader for SAP S/4HANA Architecture. You will be advising corporate executives (CIO and CTO’s) and our internal client teams how IBM GBS will provide the services and technology to get them to S/4HANA.
You will help craft and deliver answers to client questions like “what are my different options for migrating to HANA?” and “what are the best architecture to support my ERP landscape supporting S/4HANA?”
Responsibilities and Skills Needed:
As the S/4HANA Enterprise Architect you must have the knowledge of S/4HANA, Suite on HANA and HANA database as a foundation including the usages/implementation of Fiori Apps and HANA Live. You will lead the S/4HANA adoption discussions with the customer clearly demonstrating the business benefits of S/4HANA, Suite on HANA and HANA database and overall process of implementation, migration, Near Zero Downtime (NzDT) method, and upgrade including sizing, architecture, configuration, management, and day-to-day operation of the S/4HANA environment. You will possess specific HANA knowledge including High Availability, Disaster Recovery, Backup/Recovery, Security related to the HANA platform. You are expected to have knowledge of the S/4HANA roadmap, differences between releases, and new innovations that are with each release. It will be your responsibility to understand the new cloud offerings from SAP. As a prerequisite, you will have experience with Enterprise Architecture with SAP solutions prior to S/4HANA with focus on Business Suite Products (ECC, SCM, CRM, SRM) and SAP NetWeaver Products (BW, Enterprise Portal, PI and Solution Manager) and be familiar with solutioning an upgrade and migration project including migration to S/4HANA and Suite on HANA.
You will support sales at key accounts by leading the scoping, solutioning, and program planning around architecture and technology aspects of S/4HANA. You will support delivery teams as a subject matter expert (SME) for ongoing S/4 programs, and help kickoff and plan new ones.
You must be a great storyteller. This will be required to support sales and go-to-market activities for SAP S/4 HANA deals, which will include writing and shaping proposals and presenting at Orals.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
At least 7 years of experience in Basis and Architecture with minimum of 3 end-to-end cycle SAP ERP implementations from project preparation through go-live.
At least 2 cycles of end-to-end cycle upgrade experience.
At least 2 years of experience with Unicode Migration.
At least 2 years of experience with Platform/Database migration, and 1 year with S/4HANA, or Suite on HANA using Database Migration Option (DMO).
At least 2 years of experience in High Availability and Disaster Recovery.
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
At least 8 years of experience in Basis DB Administration, and Architecture.
At least 4 years of experience with Enterprise Architecture designing solutions including SAP ECC, SCM, BW, CRM, SRM, PI, Enterprise Portal, and Netweaver stack with 3 rd Party Solutions.
At least 4 end-to-end cycle SAP ERP implementations from project preparation through go-live.
At least 3 end-to-end cycle upgrade experience with SAP ECC and at least 2 Unicode migrations.
At least 1 year of experience in S/4HANA, or Suite on HANA migration using DMO/NzDT.
At least 4 years of experience with Enterprise HANA, and SLT set-up / Operation.
At least 2 years of Platform migration experience with underlying OS and DB changes.
At least 2 years of experience in High Availability and Disaster Recovery with HANA database.
