will work closely with the sales professionals to help identify and progress opportunities in our key clients. The Client Technical Professionals works is a presales role, but sometimes crosses into post sales activity to maintain the health of the client environment and satisfaction. A primary focus of this role is focus on driving new workloads in new and existing client environments. You will engage with IBM Z clients to ensure that they embrace and exploit the full potential of their IBM Z investment. You will assist clients in modernizing their core IT assets taking advantage of new IBM Z technical capabilities and features. You will Identify and technically qualify new business opportunities - both within existing IBM Z clients and in potential new to IBM Z clients. You will be able to successfully interact with other IBM departments and leverage IBM as a global company to achieve local business objectives and client's outcome

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of technical sales experience

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and proven ability to convey information clearly

  • Ability to work collaboratively and globally

  • Aptitude for understanding how technology products and solutions solve business problems

  • Explore and understand complex requirements on both a business and technical level

  • Ability to navigate through a matrix management internal

  • Well organized and good time management skills

  • Knowledge of IBM z or other mainframe technology

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Experience with some combination of Hybrid Cloud, Blockchain, DevOps, LinuxOne, pervasive encryption, resilience, operational analytics or cognitive analytics
