Eaton Corporation Managing Director - Vehicle Group India in Pimpri Pune, India

This position reports to the Asia Pacific President for the Hydraulics and Vehicle Group & Corporate India and is responsible for leading the Vehicle business in India for domestic and export business. Role will Manage, direct, organize, grow and control Vehicle business for Truck and Automotive parts. Accountable for strategic plans, building organizational capability, driving results and developing high performance culture. Vehicle Group has 3 major manufacturing facilities, Sales and Marketing, SCM, Engineering, Program Management, and other supporting functions in India and employs more than 700 employees.

· Complete P&L management responsibilities for Eaton’s Vehicle business in India. Ensure operational execution and financial performance to profit plan. Develop and execute the Vehicle Group India strategic plan to position the business for significant growth.

· Responsible for leading Vehicle Group India manufacturing operations as well as all functional support groups (i.e. engineering, sales and marketing, supply chain, etc.). Work closely with other functions, divisions and product groups to ensure sufficient functional process standardization and establishment of performance metrics.

· Lead new growth opportunities for India market including; development of customer relationships, end user pull strategies, aftermarket plans, local product customization, and strategic partnerships. Achieve high level of customer satisfaction with delivery, quality and services.

· Building high performance culture and organizational capability.

· Integration with divisions/product groups for alignment of product plans, functional processes excellence and strategies. Balance needs of India with that of overall Vehicle Group to optimize Eaton’s success. Develop strong cross functional relations with process owners.

· Implement competitive strategies and methods of analyzing competitor’s intentions, differential advantages, strengths, weaknesses, etc. Understand and apply the various approaches to market segmentation, targeting, and positioning for competitive advantage. Communicate with Vehicle Group leadership and divisions on issues such as market status and recommended strategies to address competitive threats and other market related challenges.

· Strategic account management and bringing VOC (voice of the customer) to the India operations to enhance product offerings, improve reliability and impact new product development.

· Compliance to environmental, health and safety programs and ensure adherence to local regulations, Eaton policy and good corporate citizenship. Lead sustainability approach for Vehicle Group India, involving customers, Eaton personnel and suppliers.

Qualifications

·Strong operations and commercial background and has managed manufacturing operations with P&L responsibilities.

·Minimum 15 years industry experience with at least 3 years of P&L experience.

·Experience in working with multinationals (MNC’s), preferably US -based.

·Commercial industrial background is preferred with demonstrated ability to develop/execute strategic plans to support business or operational growth. Demonstrated strong track record in leading major strategy projects.

·Successful development and execution of long- and short-term strategies that lead to accelerated revenue growth in an industrial business. This accomplished through analysis, market segmentation, and prioritization of various products, alliances and acquisition targets, and use of best practice tools to gain a deeper understanding of the value propositions of both existing and new customers and markets.

·Proven track record of building organizational capability and talent through effective recruiting, training, coaching, development and optimizing organizational design.

·Strong leadership capabilities.

·Business acumen with financial skills (P&L and business case analysis)

·Senior executive communication and presentation skills. Comfortable with public speaking.

·Strong communication and interpersonal skills, possess cultural sensitivity.

·Drive for results and ability to execute.

·Relationship building skills.

·Basic Qualifications: Education: Engineering degree; MBA / Masters Degree preferred
