Verizon Junior Pega Business Analyst in Piscataway, New Jersey
What you’ll be doing...
The Pega Business Analyst (BA) position works with a software development group and/or data science teams to enhance new and existing software solutions.
Elicit, analyze, specify, validate, and manage business requirements/stories.
Elicit, analyze, specify, validate, and manage user stories (including functional and non-functional requirements.)
Perform data analysis in support of customer requested system enhancements.
Perform algorithm analysis pre-implementation and algorithm validation post-implementation in collaboration with the development and data science teams.
Creates documentation detailing the desired features and design at a high level.
Work closely with the application architects and data scientists to determine feasibility, and verify the correctness of new features.
What we’re looking for...
The BA works closely with internal business and software development team members. A key quality is excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to understand the “big picture” of the system and application. The Business analyst will help resolve cross-functional issues.
You'll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of work experience.
One or more years of relevant work experience.
Successful completion of project Athena curriculum.
Even better if you have:
Pega Certified Systems Architect or Pega Business Architect certification.
Experience as a business or systems analyst.
Interpersonal skills at all levels of management and excellent teamwork skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong consulting skills.
Ability to establish and maintain a high level of trust and confidence in the group.
Experience facilitating the development and documentation of use cases.
Ability to present and explain project specific information to diverse types of audiences.
Ability to define, document, analyze, and validate new features as represented in the user stories/requirements.
Ability to research, classify, and analyze large amounts of data to validate algorithms and results.
Experience with statistical tools.
Experience with open source collaboration tools such as IRC Channels, WIKI and Bugzilla is highly desirable. Jira and Confluence experience.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Visio, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and G Suite.
