Verizon Senior Solutions Architect - Video Specialist in Piscataway, New Jersey

What you’ll be doing...

As a Video Solution Architect (VSA) you will support a rapidly growing business sales partnership between Verizon Business Group and Media based clients and key Fortune 500 business partners. You will specifically partner with Sales, Executive Leadership, Sales Operations, Strategic Customer Engagement, Marketing, Commercial Management, and Global Network Transport and Operations to provide a clear definition of video services offered from Verizon. Strong optical, LEC product, Ethernet services, and data with tariffs background.

  • Deliver complete end-to-end broadcast solutions for all aspects of broadcast production including content creation, content distribution, and content delivery. Capture the client’s vision, business requirements as well as technical requirements and map those to the Verizon Business Group’s solutions – security, management, network, software, and professional services offerings.

  • Serve as the technical video authority throughout the design, pre-commissioning, onsite commissioning, training and sustaining engineering phases. Identify and manage project risks, clearly, state assumptions, and work with the client and internal resources to mitigate risks in advance of video services deployment.

  • Lead the proposal creation and refinement, take ownership and produce accurate documentation for bid set. Work collaboratively with internal, client and third party teams to understand current and future business and technical requirements.

  • Lead the definition, design, and roll-out of a new program or key new features including coordinating and managing acceptance testing including the creation of test cases. Discuss technical concepts, software services and manage tradeoffs.

  • Oversee comprehensive testing of systems changes and development of standard operating procedures and process documentation.

  • Identify, assess, track and mitigate risks at multiple levels.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Experience with Evertz Microsystems broadcast equipment or similar platforms.

  • Experience designing and managing the creation of a video network control center which includes the deployment of an Evertz router, multi viewers, Tektronix scopes, Wohler audio monitors, jpeg2000 decoders/encoders & MPEG4 decoders for transport monitoring.

  • Valid driver's license

  • Willingness to travel

Even better if you have:

  • MS degree in Engineering.

  • Excellent skills with MS PowerPoint and Excel tables.

  • Six or more years of experience managing large scale, cross-functional complex programs.

  • Experience discussing technical concepts, and managing tradeoffs.

  • Experience providing client demonstrations and/or documentation as proof of concept system.

  • Attention to detail including effective verbal and written communications to customers.

  • Experience managing multiple projects while meeting strict deadlines.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Experience engaging and influencing senior leaders across the business and technical functions.

  • Experience successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Capability to present to both external and internal delivery service clients.

  • Experience working across multiple disciplines, presenting findings to an executive audience and publishing findings in a written format.
