Director, IT - Healthcare Market Division

What will you do?

The Director, IT - Healthcare Market Division (HMD) provides technological leadership for the Healthcare Market Division in close partnership with CCG and SDG IT teams that deploy and support HMD technology solutions. This role partners closely with Global IT Shared Service, Digital Transformation Office, Corporate Marketing and business teams to provide innovative technology solutions to enable achievement of HMD business goals and strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build the HMD IT strategy by working to understand customer requirements and building a plan to create a competitive advantage for the business

  • Partner with large customers and Group Purchasing Organizations to streamline transactional processes and drive mutual efficiencies via IT

  • Technology leader who is part of the HMD Leadership team responsible for being the liaison for collaboration with digital and technical shared service teams providing technology solutions for the HMD team and the customers they serve

  • Work with external customers and continuously improve existing business models and develop new business models in partnership with internal business team

  • Engage and play an active role in transformation programs in the areas of ERP, CRM and digital lab setup to support a regulated clinical business

  • Innovative, visionary with strategic thinking to drive technology roadmap that enables HMD business capabilities, operations and strategic goals. Provide the insight to business leaders on evaluation of technical solutions and future opportunities to provide capabilities to achieve business goals

  • Strong collaboration and leadership skills to work effectively in a matrix organization which includes partnership with multiple organizations to align HMD roadmap and coordinate resource assignments for projects and initiatives

  • Partner with Data Science and analytics teams to incorporate into HMD strategy and deliver solutions to ensure accelerated growth based on Data Intelligence including predicative analytics to achieve business goals

  • Participate in design meetings with business and technical team members, approve project timelines, work plans and insure initiatives are completed within established timelines and within budget while effectively leveraging multi-team engagement

  • Identify key technology performance metrics by collaborating with customers, colleagues, and other functional teams; uses key metric indicators to improve business processes and drive continuous improvement

  • Participates in CCG and SDG budget process to insure hardware, software, and other technology expenditures are effectively planned

How will you get here?

Education

Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science or related field

Master’s degree would be a plus

Experience

  • 8+ years of broad operational IT experience in a large company environment

  • Experience leading teams is a preferred

  • Sound knowledge and experience with developing software solutions with a focus on Commercial, Distribution and E-Commerce digital technologies

  • Experience in SAP, Salesforce.com, digitization of supply chain and business process understanding is required

  • Exposure in a clinical setting and regulatory experience would be preferred

  • Identifies and conceptualizes innovative solutions to meet business initiatives; demonstrates successful management and completion of major IT initiatives

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong IT leadership skills that provide effective strategic and tactical input to support operation of the HMD business into the future with focus on collaboration and working in a matrixed organization

  • Uses metric driven process methodologies to derive recommendations on technology enablers and effectively educate business team on capabilities to support decision making

  • Must demonstrate good decision-making skills, innovation, creativity, initiative, project planning skills, motivation as well as demonstrate strong customer service

  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
