Position Summary:

Supports the daily operation of the Pricing Administration Dept. with tasks requiring advanced computer and strong analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Extract, organize and analyze current and historic pricing, product and customer related data obtained from multiple data sources for the purpose of

  • Appending data as requested to customize price book files

  • Auditing for and reporting on data conditions

  • Troubleshooting pricing issues and questions

  • Evaluation for price exception maintenance requirements (and upload)

  • Ad hoc data and report requests

  • Quality Control

  • Develop, maintain and execute processes using MS Access, COGNOS Query and Report Studio, Easytrieve and Excel to improve productivity, accuracy and ensure transaction excellence.

  • Execute high volume pricing exception uploads and related settings maintenance.

  • Participate in all phases of system enhancements process: business requirements definition, test writing and execution, implementation, post production support and defects management.

  • Contribute to continuous training of sales, pricing and finance personnel through informal coaching.

Frequent Internal Contacts: Pricing Administration, IT, Commercial Finance, Product Services, Global Strategic Pricing, Global Profit Improvement, Sales.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

Excellent critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills, detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, advanced ability working with relational databases (Access, COGNOS Query and Report Studio) and Excel, proficient written and verbal communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills. Able to independently formulate solution options and prioritize tasks based on changing business needs and deadlines.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 3 years business / analytical experience

  • In-depth knowledge of AMPS pricing system, components, touch points and logic desirable

  • Experience on new system implementation teams, including design development and business system testing helpful.

  • Familiarity with SQL and Visual Basic a plus
