Rite of Passage Program Manager in Placentia, California



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1. Oversees and monitors the facility and daily schedules to ensure all students and staff are in compliance and on time for all program elements2. Monitors and supervises site operations throughout the day to ensure safety and security of staff and students and proper supervision is maintained.3. Ensures proper student to staff ratio 4. Maintains compliance with all STRTP , Title 22 and CARF Standards5. Maintains positive relationships with community entities 6. Monitors and ensures student education needs are met7. Attends school meetings 8. Attends CFTs with other site leadership9. Oversees logistics for and assists with facilitating all extracurricular and community service activities, off site travel and student transportation 10. Develop daily activities designed to encourage behavior changes and motivate students.11. Completes daily assignments as specified by the Program Director.12. Ensures student and staff safety, health and welfare by providing consistent, controlled supervision of the students during program activities.13. Provides encouragement, guidance and resources to staff and students when needed.14. Models and ensures all program norms are upheld without compromise.15. Acts as a positive role model and mentor for both staff and students.16. Treats others with respect, confronts negative behavior and praises positive behavior.17. Ensures proper safe physical management techniques are followed at all times.18. Review all safe physical management incidents 19. Ensure de briefing occurs of all physical management with staff and students 20. Assists other staff members with emergency situations.21. Completes required reports and documentation in a timely manner, provides management with required reports and advises of any problematic situations.22. Sends appropriate written communication regarding all incident notifications 23. Responds to student grievances 24. Complies with and implements the Rite of Passage Policies and Procedures as detailed in the appropriate manuals/handbooks.25. Ensures the highest standards are maintained to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct and to ensure the program remains in compliance with partner agency and Rite of Passage policies and procedures.26. Ensures programs are clean, safe and well maintained 27. Submits required KPIs to Program Director 28. Assists with the correction of deficiencies and quality improvement efforts to include monthly Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) topics 29. Attends and participates in all required meetings.30. Directs and supervises the direct care staff assigned to each home.31. Responsible for daily operations of assigned homes.32. Maintains budget and accurate PCR for each home.33. Reviews time and attendance which includes monitoring overtime 34. Coordinates training with site trainer or Program Director to ensure annual training hours met for all staff 35. Conducts weekly arms distance training or on the job training with direct care staff 36. Responds to licensing requests 37. Responsible for discipline, corrective action and evaluations for direct care staff 38. Participates in County and State meetings.39. Covers shifts for Direct Care employee absences when necessary.40. Commits to attending all staff development classes in order to ensure sufficient hours of training on an annual basis. Notifies supervisor if annual training hours are deficient.Other duties as assigned, verbally or in written form.41. Adheres to established PREA/SES Regulatory Standards

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:1. Participates in Site, Region and/or Company events as required.2. Participates a s a member of the Immediate Action Team3. Performs quarterly Administrator on Duty responsibilities.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:1. Must meet minimum qualifications as established in STRTP regulations and maintain current State of California Administrator Certificate 2. Three to Five years of experience working with at-risk youth.3. Demonstrate ability to manage multiple people and projects.4. Good interpersonal skills including the ability to interview potential employees if required.5. Must meet the requirements to be an eligible ROP driver. Must possess a current State Driver's License and have an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years.6. Ability to pass a criminal background clearance check, drug screen, physical and TB test.7. Ability to utilize resources available to complete assigned projects.8. Ability to prepare written reports and correspondence.9. Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.10. Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing.11. Able to work at least 40 hours per week with the possibility of a varied schedule.12. Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.13. Must have excellent organization and time management skills.14. Ability to build and maintain positive internal and external relationships.15. Ability to provide exemplary customer service to all employees and outside constituents.16. Ability to function independently and as a member of a team in a multi-task environment.17. Must be flexible and able to handle multiple priorities, with the ability to adjust to high pressure and rapidly changing business conditions.18. Proficient in the use of computers and associated software.
