Description

Celadon, one of the fastest growing transportation companies, is looking for an Account Manager in its Logistics Division. The overall purpose of an Account Manager is to work with the Supply Chain Managers, Pricing Analysts, Sales, and the Operations team to execute logistics solutions that meet the customer’s requirements while following the company’s business strategy. Account Managers will be responsible for managing new account startup and maintaining existing accounts to ensure both internal and external requirements are met. The Account Manager will be the primary contact for customers to discuss both current business and future opportunities, and work with Logistics Development Manager and Supply Chain Manager to design logistics solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • The Account Manager is the point of contact to the customer for day to day business. Responsibilities include ensuring the customers’ needs / concerns are addressed, managing projects, leading the account startup, conducting meetings, and provide KPI as required.

  • Work with Supply Chain Manager to determine best solution for tasks outside normal operations.

  • Responsible for the executing customer’s supply chain network as designed.

  • Utilize tools including TMS, rating system, optimization, and others as needed to design logistics solutions.

  • Participate in new account startup to ensure customer and internal requirements are achieved

  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly customer reports as defined by customer requirements

  • Establish and maintain scope of work for managed accounts. Identify potential scope creep and update as required

  • Prepare “spot” quotes as requested by customers

  • Follow all company guidelines and procedures as set forth in your employee handbook. You are required to understand 100% of their content.

  • Other duties as required

Minimum Requirements

Requirements:

  • At least two years of experience in transportation management and development of logistics solutions

  • Must have experience using and a thorough understanding of asset-based or 3PL Transportation Management Systems (TMS)

  • Must have a understanding of the NMFC 100 Series tariff, freight classification, and the regulations of the transportation industry

  • Bi-lingual preferred - English / Spanish
