JOB Description Facilitates the development, implementation and ongoing adherence of sepsis program protocols and therapies. Ensures protocols and therapies become the standard of care followed within the facility. Collaborates with medical and hospital staff to provide multidisciplinary care to patients with a diagnosis of sepsis. Rounds with Physicians with diagnosis of sepsis, reviews clinical data. Provides education and clinical expertise to care team, patients, and families. Collaborates with physicians and staff in an effort to decrease mortality and length of stay. Identifies and integrates patient learning needs, abilities and readiness into the Plan of Care. Works in collaboration with the nursing team to develop and implement individualized teaching plans for patients and families. Collects and analyzes sepsis program patient data to assist with documentation, clinical care, and improved outcomes. Participates in rounding and proactively responds to patient needs to improve patient outcomes and positively impact overall patient experience. Contributes to a culture of patient centered care by ensuring a quiet healing environment.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

A. Licensure/ Certification/ Registration: Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not-limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions) Current Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association Current ACLS certification through the American Heart Association. Certification as CCRN preferred.

B. Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.

C. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience preferred.

D. Special Qualifications: Completion of Basic Arrhythmia course with a minimum of 16 hours of didactic instruction preferred; Critical Care Course preferred.
