Director, OCI Managed Cloud Services

  • Be a part of the new Service Management function in Oracle Managed Cloud Service. As a Director of Service Management, You will contribute towards making Oracle Managed Cloud Services as the most effective and efficient cloud service organization.

  • You will collate data from multiple data sources to build service metrics and dashboards to provide business intelligence about the functioning of Operation teams.

  • You will assist with making data driven business decisions and present your findings to the executive level. You would identify areas of opportunity to improve the functioning of the organization and work with different stake holders to get the projects completed.

  • Help define Product vision, strategy and roadmap for Managed Cloud Services.

  • Stay abreast of latest innovations in Cloud technology space and apply them as appropriate to Managed Cloud Service’s offerings.

  • Lead by example, setting a clear culture of teamwork, high expectations, success and customer focus.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience with Service Management or Operations management for Cloud (IaaS, PaaS or SaaS).

  • Deep product and market expertise in Cloud offerings, including customer/user needs, competitive landscape, and key trends in the industry.

  • Understands the business and the functional skills required to be successful.

  • A strong focus on ownership and execution. An executive with the appropriate level of drive and “toughness” to effectively manage in a fast-paced environment, ensuring results and deadlines are achieved.

  • A strong balance of strategic and tactical skills, with a high level of intellectual, agility and capacity for original thought.

  • An enthusiastic, high-energy and motivating leader who is visibly passionate and is capable of inspiring and galvanizing an organization.

  • Focuses on actions and outcomes; driven to over achieve.

  • An exceptional communicator who can write, present and effectively adjust messages to meet individual audiences and organizations.

  • Dynamic presenter with the ability to break down technical concepts into everyday language

  • Ability to operate in a highly ambiguous and fast paced environment


An Engineering Bachelors’ degree is preferred. An advanced degree is a plus.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Work with a world class team to develop, implement, and support cutting edge Oracle technology.

Manages teams supporting and/or implementing multi-functional and/or multi-location projects and/or systems. Defines, documents and manages scope, expectations, implementation approach, deliverables and acceptance testing criteria. Develops and manages an effective risk mitigation strategy for the project(s).

Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations. Successful track record as a manager. Detailed knowledge of technical and business concepts of a number of related applications areas. BA/BS degree preferred.
