Job Description:

The successful candidate will join the Wells, Reservoir and Facilities and Management Team (WRFM) as part of Shell Trinidad Upstream asset.

  • Lead effort to improve and sustain well integrity in the asset. This include conducting risk assessment, technical review, for reviewing well integrity procedure and well integrity test results and raising deviation when required.

  • Responsible for applying approved well operating envelopes and provide ideal actions required to maintain safe well operating conditions.

  • Drive production system surveillance and optimization of the Wells to maximize production.

  • Planning, execution and interpretation of all well surveillance activities.

  • Responsible for opportunity identification, maturation and execution of WRFM activities and intervention.

  • Support any new development project in the asset, including preparation and execution of drilling, completion, commissioning and start up activities.

  • Enforce the WRFM processes to deliver ideal business results.

  • Provide input to the annual internal and external regulatory budget cycle (OP and WPB) e.g. well surveillance, intervention and studies plan

  • Strong sense of team-based value. Able to work in very close collaboration with key interfaces such as Production Operations, Completion and Well Interventions, Production Programming, Process Engineering, Reservoir Engineering and Commercial.

  • Assist Production Programming team in achieving short to medium term business plan objectives.

  • Demonstrate ability in coaching and developing junior Production Technologists within the team.

Requirements:

  • Legal authorization to work in Trinidad and Tobago without sponsorship.

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering (or related Engineering field of study), Mathematics or Physical Science.

  • At least 10 years of experience as a Production Technologist with hands on experience in WRFM (including well integrity) and new development projects in gas fields

  • Proficient in PETEX software is required.

  • BOSIET or T-BOSIET preferred.

  • Competence levels are required in WRFM (Skill), Well integrity Management (Skill), Well Inflow/Outflow Modelling (Skill), Well and Completion design (Skill).

  • Ability to take responsibility and able to lead across functions.

  • Ability to timely deliver high quality, self QC’d, well documented technical work

  • Demonstrates drive, enthusiasm and can-do attitude, open-mind.
