The MOBS Sr. Business Service Consultant role provides consulting leadership to large, medium, and small projects, thereby supporting KPNW in achieving its performance targets. Manages the consulting and analytical support for these projects and is accountable for the quality of the advice and analysis. Provides support to the completion of major business processes.
Project Management: Manages projects with limited oversight. Identify operational and strategic implications in structuring work and results. Leads project teams throught complex projects. Develop an overall project plan. Alignresources. Accountable for key outcomes. Must be agile, organized, and responsive, with high KP cultural sensitivity.
Performance Improvement as it relates specifically to Revenue Cycle Medical Operations function. Under the direction of the RC Performance Improvement Manager, provide assessment and recommendations for improvements as it relates to Registration, Scheduling, Patient Billing (emphasis on Point of Service) and theoverall Med Ops Patient Experience. Performs cost/benefit analyses on new or proposed supplies and equipment as necessary. Provides background information for development of capital and non-capital budget. Must demonstrate experience with assessments, audits and other PI methodologies.
Quality Assurance: A subject matter expert who has the ability to review data, create reports, monitor WQs, work denials, and provide feedback regarding staff performance. Stay current on relevant topics/trends, technologies and capabilities. Leverage own knowledge to teach team members how to approach a task and add value. Collaborate with trainers in providing targeted training to address gaps.
Compliance: Collaborates with MOBS leadership and auditor, Compliance, RC, in ensuring adherence to all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements. .Work closely with internal and external auditors in resolving identified deficiencies.Design, develop, and distribute reports that support Compliant registration.
Change agent: Work closely with MOBS leadership and key sponsors in identifying barriers to change. Accept and manage ambiguity/complexity in projects, and effectively guide teams in dealing with change barriers and project constraints. Prepare budget and achieve desired outcome with allocated resources. Review, define, and monitor work plan and issues. Communicate complex information to sponsors, team members and client, accurately and effectively. Influence decisions through written and verbal communications. Build consensus between deparments and business units. Stay current on relevant topics/trends, technologies and capabilities. Leverage own knowledge to teach team members how to approach a task and add value. Critically reviews key information and asks questions to understand a new assignment. Use external benchmarks and non-traditional sources to bring insight to problems. Build effective networks of internal and external subject matter expert contacts.
Minimum three (3) years experience with patient registration in a cash controlled environment.
Minimum two (2) years experience leading projects.
High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
Master's Degree in Business, Healthcare, Finance or related field OR six (6) years of experience in a directly related field.
License, Certification, Registration
Epic Certication/Proficiency in Cadence, Prelude, Resolute, Haiku/Canto, or Welcome is achieved within 6 months of hire/transfer.
Proficient in MS Suite, Visio or other process mapping tool, MS Project or comparable application.
Strong working knowledge of KPHealthConnect Prelude, ADT, or Resolute PB.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Six Sigma certification or a strong working knowledge of the Six Sigma model, with a commitment to obtain Certification.
Certification in Project Management.
Demonstrated ability to manage against multiple competing priorities of operations management customers and business process.
