Kaiser Permanente PROJECT/DEPARTMENT COORDINATOR ASSOCIATE (CHR ONLY) - Center for Health Research in Portland, Oregon

Provides a wide variety of project and department support toward the execution of department initiatives in order to achieve regional objectives. Note: This position is intended for use as a transitional position for employees who have been in a Kaiser Permanente internship position.

Essential Responsibilities:

Utilizing project management methodologies and tools, supports multi-disciplinary initiative workgroups to meet objectives. Identifies and works to remove barriers to successful completion of the overall process. Uses facilitation and collaboration to build plans that are supported by key stakeholders.

May maintain monthly management reports, including tools to track action items, issues, risks, decisions, status reports, and timelines. Function as a contact person for information and direction related to department/project.

May develops content for communications and presentations, training materials, policies and procedures and guidelines as necessary.

Provide other department and team support duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:


Minimum one (1) year experience in applicable project-related work OR completion of a KP Internship Program.


Bachelor's degree OR four (4) years of experience in a directly related field.

High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.

License, Certification, Registration


Additional Requirements:

Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.

Proven ability to plan, prioritize and deliver within constrained timeline.

Proficient computer skills of Microsoft Office products (Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project).

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Exceptional customer service orientation.

Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to organize, prioritize and schedule work assignments.

Demonstrates initiative and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum two (2) years experience as a project coordinator.

Working knowledge of MS Project.

Working knowledge of web-site development.

Bachelor's degree business, healthcare, or related field
