As a member of the Technical Information Development team ,

you will work with subject matter experts in product management,

engineering, professional services, and quality assurance to obtain

information for documentation, and develop content that directly helps

customers use our software quickly, easily, and effectively in their

organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, write,edit, and maintain documentation and courseware materials for Brontousers, partners, and professional services

  • Create documentation and courseware including online product walkthroughs, videos, and audio scripts

  • Become a subject matter expert in the Bronto platform

  • Proactivelycommunicated with Engineering to research product changes and determinethe scope of new courseware or changes to product documentation

  • Review and proofread other team members’ work to ensure technical accuracy and consistency of language, voice, and style

Qualifications

  • Outstanding English-language verbal skills; professional-level written communication skills

  • Experience with HTML and DITA

  • Experience using curriculum development tools such as Camtasia or Adobe Captivate, XML editing tools such as Oxygen, and Iridize

  • Track record of creating successful course materials, online Help, and step-by-step instructions

  • Knowledge of curriculum design principles and practices

  • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple, on-going projects

  • Attention to detail

  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to organize and prioritize effectively

  • Experience working with remote teams is aplus

  • Experience doing English voice over is a plus

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Develops courseware to support new and existing products, often though not exclusively in conjunction with Product Division.

Coordinate and evaluate development contributions from other courseware development team members. Develop certification questions for use in the Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) exams. Solicit & incorporate feedback from reviews and training events. Deliver training at train-the-trainer and pilot events.

Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. Bachelor

  • s Degree in Computer Science or Instructional Design. Four years adult education experience (as teacher or curriculum developer). Seven years technical or professional experience using Oracle products or related software. Strong SQL and PL/SQL knowledge and experience. Knowledge of XML, Java, and J2EE technologies. Experience with Oracle9i Database administration. Knowledge of Oracle9i Application server.
