Work you ll do

The Senior Public Relations Strategist will devise and execute the public relations strategy for Deloitte s Client & Market Growth (CMG) organization, spanning our cross-functional programs and offerings. The ideal candidate will have strong ties in professional services and possess a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels of a matrix organization.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop a comprehensive eminence agenda for CMG that optimizes cross-business opportunities in the marketplace

  • Creation of a cohesive PR strategy across industry, identifying intersections across sectors

  • Capitalize on opportunities for symphonic amplification of Deloitte s industry presence (voice) in the marketplace

  • Along with the Green Dot Agency, develop metrics and KPIs to assess PR efforts

  • Work with the Green Dot Agency to develop media insights through data and experiences that elevate the overall program

  • Foster collaboration among marketing and PR teams in development of strategic plans to advance the priorities of the business

  • Create a sense of community and nurture the career development of team members

  • Develop an overarching eminence strategy for select members of the CMG executive team

The team

Skills and Competencies:

  • High level of comfort with ambiguity and fluid priorities; ability to manage multiple and complex priorities

  • Ability to make connections in highly matrixed environment, with an eye on integration

  • Executive presence, professional client service manner, demonstrated ability to take initiative

  • Strong persuasive communication skills; able to gain consensus through influence and pivot when warranted

  • Strong negotiation and problem solving skills; flexibility and adaptability

  • Ability to work in a virtual environment

  • Strategic and innovative thinker

Qualifications (required):

  • 12 years of experience in marketing and communications, with a focus on communications (internal and external) strategy and planning

  • Proven success in leading Communications teams, developing and executing internal communications strategies, PR strategies, and communications and PR plans for a large business, preferably in professional services

  • Broad thinking capable of making connections across the business and taking decisive action

  • Strong understanding of marketing and communications KPIs, measurement and reporting focused on business results

  • Strong writing, editing, and copy editing skills and previous writing/editing experience in corporate communications, PR, or journalism fields

  • Experience in successfully managing and delivering sensitive, crisis and executive communications requests in a large-scale corporate environment preferred

  • Initiative and intellectual curiosity

  • Superior Microsoft Office skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with integrating various technologies to support marketing efforts

  • Undergraduate degree, ideally with a focus in Communications, Public Relations, English, or Journalism
