Overlay sales personnel providing specialist product expertise to the sales force.
Partners with Account, Technology, and Application sales representatives to qualify and close new business on Oracle solutions. Provides specific industry or product expertise to facilitate the closing of deals within sales representatives territory. Interacts with sales team to architect the solution, and develop and execute solution strategies for market. Manages solution opportunities to obtain appropriate and necessary resources for all qualified opportunities. Leads teams in the sales process for establishing market visibility and deal visibility. Presents/demonstrates solution to high level clients and industry conference attendees. May provide training to field sales on industry/solutions. Builds and maintains a network and up to date specific industry or product knowledge.
Subject matter expertise in industry/product space. Knowledge of key industry leaders and management. Knowledge of Oracle competition. Presentation and product demonstration experience. Previous consultative selling experience preferred. Excellent communication, negotiating, and closing skills with prospects and customers. Travel may be needed. BA/BS degree in related field.

The Oracle Cloud Applications organization has an immediate opening for aHigher ED Luminary. This new and seniorrole is positioned to take the Oracle Cloud message into the Higher EDmarketplace, directly to the C-suite like never before.
Whatare the Luminary s responsibilities?
This person will be shaping Oracle svoice to Higher ED organizations and Executive audiences. She/He will engage regularly through Salesopportunities to ensure that our technical and selling teams capture andcommunicate the full value of Oracle s products and effectively shape thatvalue in terms that leaders in the Higher ED industry recognize and understand.
In addition to building a closerelationship with Field Sellers, it will be the responsibility of this personto partner and participate with key internal Oracle stakeholder groups, such asProduct Marketing, Product Development, and Oracle Consulting to shape ourcompany messages, products, and delivery with a Higher ED POV that sdifferentiated in the marketplace.
This role should expect travelcommensurate with 50% customer facing time.
HigherED Luminary Role Requirements
Executivepresence and presentation skills a must
A standard bearerfor Oracle s Cloud applications; Evangelist
Strongunderstanding of HigherED issues, information systems, management issues, andcurrent trends.
Experienced as afacilitator, diplomat, and negotiator/mediator; expresses action-oriented andcreative approaches to information systems issues and problems.
5-plus years ofapplicable experience from a Higher ED Provider.
A good Luminarycandidate may come from a Higher ED organization, vendor or consulting firm.
Ability to listeneffectively, respond to sensitive inquiries or complaints, cope with anambiguous or changing environment and have an unfailing sense of humor
Strong planning,organization, critical thinking, decision-making and communication (verbal andwritten) skills.
High degree ofconfidentiality, maturity, tactfulness and business ethics.
