The medical staff includes a wide range of primary care and specialty care physicians, including Cardiology, Otolaryngology, Orthopedics, General Surgery, Urology and Oncology as well as Hospitalists.

_Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse Chemotherapy:_ * Implements clinical and technical aspects of patient care for oncology patients for Infusion Center procedures according to the nursing process; ensures patient / family receive appropriate healthcare education and instruction for discharge; Accurately completes documentation of all patient care related information; Appropriately utilizes resources related to care of the patient; * Assist in the maintaining and ordering of supplies; Performs cleaning task as assigned * Maintains positive working relationship with coworker and physicians; Monitors performance of staff assigned to team and coaches as appropriate; demonstrates and promotes professionalism * Participates in the orientation of new employees * Is an active member of the team in participating in follow up phone calls to patients

_EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:_ * Diploma or Associates Degree from a professional nursing program (required) * BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program at an accredited school of Nursing (preferred) * Tuition Reimbursement Program($5,250/calendar year) * Student Loan Assistance Program(up to $150/month in assistance) _CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY:_ * ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Card within 120 days of hire or transfer * BLS within 90 days of hire/transfer * ACLS within 180 days- new employees/transfers have a maximum of 180 days to complete ACLS upon hire date. During this time the nurse will work under the direct supervision of an RN who has satisfactorily completed basic arrhythmia competency and ACLS certification. If the new employee fails to complete the above items in the established timeframe, the nurse lacking successful completion of the competency/certification will continue to work under the direct supervision of another RN as previously described.
