Sr/Manager, Production Engineering (Dev-Ops) Cloud Solutions Applications
Cloud Solutions team within Oracle Applications Labs (OAL) develops and manages
the subscription and customer success platforms within Oracle. This set of
applications are used to manage all commercial transactions made by Oracle’s
cloud customers as well as to engage with Oracle’s cloud customers. The systems
are continuously evolving, transacting in millions every week and providing
real-time analytics on customer engagement and sentiment. The platforms are
RBDMS, Cassandra, Redis, Apache Solr containerized on Oracle’s PaaS. Our
customers are Oracle’s internal employees as well as Oracle’s partners. The
systems are expected to be high availability and scalability.
We're looking for a passionate Senior/Manager, Production Engineering (Dev-Ops)Cloud Solutions Applications to join our team working out of our Pune, India
Development Center (IDC) office, reporting to the Senior Director, Cloud
Solutions Production Engineering Ops..

Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support of thesubscription billing and customer success platform primarily for Testing, howevernot limited to and production support as required.
Interacting with our business partners anduser communities that include but not limited to customer subscriptiondata and transaction management, cloud operations and other internalorganizations.
Engage with development teams in the quote tocash flow triaging incidents, log defects and drive resolutions.
Drive operational excellence: provide guidancein an efficient and agile manner measured with industry leading metrics.Oversee regular operational reviews, including Key Performance Indicator(KPI) reporting and continuous cadence for improvement progress to both Preand Post-Production.
Develop a team: Build and
manage a local team of production operations engineers that evaluate primarily Pre-Production
User Acceptance (UAT) requests (Service Requests / Incidents), and liaison with
development for defect, on root cause analysis, issue resolution and ensuring
overall customer satisfaction. Recruit, train and develop a superior staff.
Train staff in the use of industry best practices, established methodologies
and documented procedures. This is inclusive of performance monitoring of
applications/systems environments (Test, Development and Production.
Managementcommunication: Provide succinct Sr. Director/VP level communication on keyissues in partnership with the development leads.Create and present support metrics toshare with senior leadership and highlight any areas of concern orimprovement, coupled with recommendations on improvements to applicationssupporting the Quote to Cash process.
Partner with the respective lines ofbusinesses, mainly Finance and Product Development groups, to ensurecompliance standards and processes are met
Develop and maintain relationships with clientorganizations to ensure their expectations are being met and prioritiesare set at the appropriate level.
Qualifications and Experience
The Sr/Manager of Production
Engineering will have led an IT organization managing mission critical systems.
This individual must demonstrate proven ability to effectively lead and meet
business objectives in a highly global, collaborative and high-performance work
7 years’ experience in information technologyand business operations, with at-least 3 years of experience leading andmanaging a software or IT group in a high technology company.
Experience with cloud computing, IaaS/PaaS and SaaS with
a deep understanding of cloud business models, processes and systems including
full subscription lifecycle and configure to order to subscription to
Candidate must have proven ability toconsistently and collaboratively resolve issues, clearly articulatetechnical issues in business terms, mitigate roadblocks, and meets allfinancial and management goals on time. Will be a self-starter who mapsown direction to succeed.
A process-oriented individual, with strongproject management skills, who has the ability to thrive in a fast-paced,dynamic organization.
Demonstrated ability to successfully lead anddevelop support organizations in collaboration with overall IT andbusiness strategy.
Excellent team management, coaching, andmentoring skills.
Excellent change management skills and abilityto operate effectively in fast paced environment.
Must be able to travel up to 25%.

Demonstrated leadership skills. Detailed knowledge of several applications within a business area needed. BA/BS degree and relevant experience.
