Job Summary

The Master Data Management Specialist will be responsible for coordinating master data requests and activities across all business units. This person will assist internal stakeholders with the master data creation process to optimize processes and data. It will interact with many internal stakeholders from the various business units of the company.

Section A – Specific Responsibilities

  • Ensuring adherence to the master data process of customers, suppliers throughout the enterprise and business units.

  • Manage all requests, analyzes and reviews from internal customers, and confirm the creation or modification of customer and supplier data.

  • Collaborate with the Master Data Management team to establish business rules and make recommendations on processes.

  • Create and analyze various customer and vendor validation reports to ensure control of the customer database.

  • Act as the main point of contact for all requests for creation or modification of customers and suppliers. Interact with internal stakeholders in all business units and communicate the required standards and processes.

  • Solve technical problems by establishing a diagnosis or, where applicable, working with Vistex IT Support Team to reach a resolution.

Section B – General Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in master data management initiatives and projects.

  • Find and implement opportunities for continuous improvement throughout the assigned process and carry out projects related to managing master data for customer and supplier management.

  • Communicate effectively with applicants to ensure that the operational needs of internal clients are met.

Section C – Position Requirements

  • Bachelor of Commerce or Administration or equivalent in progress/ college degree

  • Experiencein the fields of data management, analysis and query creation a strong asset

  • Advanced mastery of Office Suite, especially Excel required

  • Knowledge of SAP (an asset)

  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing dynamic environment

  • Analytical capacities allowing the creation of a state of mind favoring innovation

  • Ability to work effectively with little supervision

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Bilingualism (English and French) in writing and speaking
