PG Sales Consultant

Description

Manages customer relationships to achieve sales goals and executing sales plans within an assigned sales territory or account.

Sells company products and services by developing new prospects and accounts.

Achieves sales targets and ensures customer satisfaction.

Develops relationships to generate customer goodwill and loyalty.

Conducts negotiations according to company guidelines.

Identifies, researches, and contacts prospective customers and builds positive relationships that will generate future sales and repeat business.

Responds to customer concerns about the company and its products.

Provides leadership and mentoring to less experienced sales representatives.

Drives utilization of Cummins tools and processes (i.e. Customer Relationship Management, Customer focus Six Sigma).

Qualifications

Electrical / Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent

Knowledge of the power generation industry

Experience: Cummins Power Generation products an asset

Sales experience

Bilingual (French/English)

Must have a valid driver’s license (driver’s abstract may be required)

Strong computer aptitude; experience with Microsoft Office

Excellent communication skills, customer service focus, maintain professional image (self workplace, vehicle)

Strong presentation skills

Advanced negotiation and selling skills

Ability to multi-task, work under pressure

Ability to travel (Canada and US)

Flexibility in hours

Responsible for identifying, profiling and calling on potential customers with the goal of power generation systems to contractors and end users while adhering to Company policies, processes and culture.

Work with the Inside Sales Support to prepare competitive quotations for the power generation division, as per specifications, meeting customers’ requirements in a timely fashion

Quote PM programs to customers

Visit sites to meet customers if necessary, providing operator instruction and advice

Quote PM program recommendations and renewals

Follow pending quotes to determine our competitive position in the market

Assist with resolution of payment or site issues as they arise

Prepare various reports including CRM as required

Travel as required

Other related duties as required
