Merck 2020 Resource Management Intern in Rahway, New Jersey

Job Description

The Future Talent Program features internships that lasts up to 12 weeks and will include one or more projects. These opportunities in our Research Labs can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals.

Our Global Regulatory Affairs and Clinical Safety (GRACS) sub-division is seeking an intern to support our Business Process Management (BPM) by:

  • Improving how our BPM model operates, including alignment with our Quality Management System

  • Supporting specific Business Process Space improvement initiatives

  • Helping to manage incoming communications related to our Process Spaces

Required Education and Experience:

  • Candidates must be a currently enrolled student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree.

  • Candidates must be available to work full-time for up to (12) weeks beginning May/June 2020

  • Candidates must have familiarity with project management principles

  • Candidates must have demonstrated success with Personal Organization and Time Management

  • Candidates must have a strong interest in a process improvement, communications, or project manager role

  • Candidates must have working knowledge of MS Office tools (specifically: Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Candidates should be motivated, independent, and an out-of-the-box thinker

  • Candidates should have experience in a planning and/or project management role

  • Candidates should have experience and enthusiasm for communications (Written and Verbal)

  • Candidates should have experiences and enthusiasm with facilitating team discussions

  • Candidates should have familiarity with Process improvement principles

  • Candidates should have specific interest in pharma and/or regulatory and safety would be a plus, but this project has broad applicability across industries/specialties
