Eaton Corporation Business Development Manager in Raleigh, North Carolina
Eaton’s Digital Office is currently seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team. This position is based at either our Moon Township, PA or Raleigh, NC locations.
Reporting to the EMCB platform leader, the primary function of the EMCB Business Development Manager is to lead early-stage commercial efforts and partnership development activities for the energy management circuit breaker (EMCB) platform. This position has the responsibility to promote Eaton as a thought leader in the field of intelligent power management and identify the needs of the customer through voice of customer feedback, providing input to the Offer Management & Marketing team for their platform roadmap.
The role will help to direct the activities of the NA sales team related to the EMCB platform, defining target projects, capital expenditures, and identifying attractive opportunities with key accounts. It will engage with potential customers (especially higher in their organizations) early in their projects to generate Eaton "mindshare", potentially even before they have a project budget. The role will also have responsibility to identify, cultivate, execute, and manage partnership opportunities, including with new and existing external technology/solution partners.

In this function you will:
Secure Eaton participation in key Energy Transition (solar, energy storage, EV charging, microgrid) conferences and media publications to demonstrate thought leadership for the EMCB platform and its relevant use cases
Provide Voice of Customer feedback to the EMCB team to develop intelligent power management solutions
Partner with OEMs, engineering consultants, integrators, and other key customers/stakeholders including sales engineers, application engineers and executive leadership within our customer base to drive adoption of the EMCB platform
Identify, develop, and train Eaton sales personnel within targeted districts relative to EMCB initiatives
Understand major competitors’ tactics, organization, distribution strategy, and pricing while keeping Eaton teams informed of trends and changes
Understand Eaton electrical products and their competitive position
Identify, develop and work with potential technology/solution partners to build an EMCB partner ecosystem that furthers the success of the platform in the marketplace

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
Minimum 10 years of sales and/or marketing experience within the electrical or renewable energy industry
Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Moon Township, PA or Raleigh, NC will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Understanding of electrical systems and how to synthesize complex business propositions in the electrical industry
