As an intern in the Construction Management Group, the responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist managers on greenways, pavement resurfacing, roadway improvements, bridge, and other related projects

  • Support of field staff, project managers, and project designers during the design and construction phase of projects

  • Periodic travel within North Carolina may be required

  • Perform duties as assigned

  • Report to Senior Engineer/Project Manager/Project Engineer in the Construction Management Group

Minimum Requirements

  • Currently in pursuit of Engineering degree

  • 0-2 years of experience

  • Good understanding of geometry

  • Ability to learn construction management and field work, including material testing, interpretation of plans

  • Ability to follow procedures and pay attention to detail

  • Good written and oral communication skills

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications

  • Field experience in construction management
