The Role

The Enterprise Compromised Data (ECD) team within Consumer Banking is responsible for leading the assessment, investigation, and mitigation of compromised data incidents across the Wells Fargo enterprise, including ensuring data breach notifications to government regulators and individuals are handled appropriately. This role will report directly to the Enterprise Compromised Data Leader and have oversight for the international incident response program for low, medium and high severity incidents, requiring a rapid response. This position may include after-hours on call rotation during the week and weekends.

As a leader within the Enterprise Compromised Data team, you will be responsible for:

•Creating and establishing an international ECD program.

•Oversee incidents occurring internationally, working with the domestic incident response team and leader responding to low, medium and high severity incidents (across international lines and multiple time zones covering 24/7/365).

•Working with leaders and team members at all levels and across functional and international lines, often in complex and challenging situations requiring a rapid response. This leader will need to establish and maintain effective domestic and international working relationships with partners, LOB, governance, etc., to effectively drive results, obtain/provide feedback and direction.

The Candidate

The successful candidate must be a motivated self-starter with demonstrated ability to manage a rapidly changing environment. The ideal candidate will be a risk-focused leader who enjoys a fast-paced, dynamic environment when responding to incidents internationally, across all time zones. In addition, the candidate should have an Information Security and/or Privacy Certification or obtain within 1 year of position acceptance.

Locations: Charlotte, NC; Preferred candidate to reside in the Eastern Time Zone and position is remote/telecommute

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in compliance, operational risk management (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk), or a combination of both; or 10+ years of IT systems security, business process management or financial services industry experience, of which 5+ years must include direct experience in compliance, operational risk management, or a combination of both

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization

  • A BS/BA degree or higher

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally

  • Ability to travel up to 35% of the time
