The Hotels Global Business Unit team manages the Financials across Software License, SaaS, Hardware and Consulting products and solutions. HGBU Finance provides Business Partnering, Management reporting and Analysis to enable decision-making and meet Business goals. The department participates in and leads various Global Business Finance initiatives focused on automation, standardization, and streamlining processes and improving business results.
Partner to the SVP of the Global Business Unit and their staff including Sales, Operations, Marketing, Development, Consulting and Strategy. Decision-making support and guidance are key deliverable.
Take lead role on key projects/programs that drive the business forward.
Planning and budgeting: participate in annual planning and budgeting cycle in line with corporate and business requirements.
Develop and maintain comprehensive management reporting, and analytical insight
Prepare and participate in quarterly Business Operations Reviews
Preparation of Reporting packs for executive management
Ensuring data quality and accuracy of management reporting
Support costing and margin analysis at the product level
Acquisition: Work closely with business groups to provide accurate, timely, reporting
Support the annual Compensation planning and implementation process
Provide transparency into product development spending and investment
Participate in various Global Business Finance change initiatives to drive improvements in efficiency effectiveness of financial reporting and business partnership
Participate in Quarter end activities and contribute in close process
Proactively drive analysis on key trends and drivers behind the trends we are seeing in the results. This requires tight partnership with region and operations peers.
Lead and mentor a team of managers and analysts.
Personal Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor degree with 10 years finance experience. MBA Highly Preferred
Previous experience supporting a Software and/or Cloud Business Unit or Division
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Excellent problem solving skills
Ability to stay organized, prioritize objectives in a dynamic, challenging environment
Excellent financial & analytical skills
Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
Familiarity with Hyperion Essbase Planning and Analysis tool

Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Serves as a financial advisor and business partner in managing the activities of the financial analyst staff. Ensures that global business processes and practices are followed in providing accurate financial analysis in support of Oracle's business to facilitate decision making and future business strategies. Manages a professional staff.
As a member of Oracle's finance organization, you will manage the finance team and drive key cross functional business practices such as management of the budget and forecasting processes. Your will prepare, administer, and direct the control of the budget. Review and approve recommendations for financial planning and control. Monitor divisions and subsidiaries adherence to budgets. Develop, implement, and integrate financial practices across multiple organizations and locations. Develop, recommend, and implement financial policies, practices, and process changes.
Directs and ensures the implementation of operational policies through subordinate managers. Interacts internally and externally with executive management negotiation of difficult matters to influence policy. Functional expertise and broad company knowledge. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Serves as process owner; ability to identify cross-functional issues. Demonstrated leadership skills. 12 years relevant experience and BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. CPA/MBA desired.
